Susquehanna County Housing/Redevelopment Authority, 33 Public Avenue, Montrose, PA 18801, is soliciting proposals from persons and organizations interested in providing Inspection Services for the Susquehanna County Housing/Redevelopment Authority’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program and Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Program.
A full copy of the Request for Proposals can be found at www.susqcohra.com or by contacting the office at 570-278-5401. Proposals will be accepted until 2 p.m. , Friday December 18, 2020, at which time the submitted proposals will be publicly opened at the Authority offices, address listed above.
Extensive travel around Susquehanna County will be required. A valid drivers license, Proper Insurances, and Personal vehicle will be required. Those interested should have knowledge of local building codes, construction methods, electrical and plumbing standards, lead paint identification. In addition, applicant should possess good communication skills for working with landlords, tenants, and homeowners. Computer and administrative skills for completing work reports and forms is necessary and applicant must be willing to attend any needed training to keep informed about changes in Housing Quality Standards required by US Dept. of Housing & Urban Development.
Proposals shall be sealed and clearly marked on the outside, “Housing Rehabilitation Inspection and Section 8 Inspection Proposals” and submitted to Susquehanna County Housing/Redevelopment Authority, 33 Public Ave, Montrose, PA 18801. Proposals that are faxed or emailed cannot be accepted. The Authority reserves the right to reject any proposals.
